How we handle your information.

SecondEye ("we," "us") provides independent reviews of contractor bids. This page explains what we collect when you use secondeye.co, how we use it, and — just as important — what we don't do with it. Questions? Email hello@secondeye.co.

What we collect

Information you give us:

• Your email address.
• The bid or invoice files you upload for review. These may contain a property address, contractor names, line items, and pricing.
• Your answers to a few intake questions (for example, whether the project is a flip or a rental, roughly how many projects you do a year, and what you're most concerned about).
• Payment information when you buy a review. Card details are entered on, and handled by, our payment processor (Stripe) — we never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically: when you visit the site we may receive standard technical data (such as your browser type and referring link) and any campaign tags in the link you followed (UTM parameters), which tell us which ad or post brought you here. We do not run advertising tracking pixels on the site.

How we use it

• To produce and deliver your bid report.
• To contact you about your review, and — if you buy one — to follow up afterward to ask how it went.
• To improve our cost benchmarks. We may use the bids you send us in de-identified form (stripped of your name, contact details, and property address) to sharpen the pricing data behind future reviews.
• If you join the early-bird list, to email you occasional updates. You can unsubscribe anytime.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted services to run SecondEye, and share only what each one needs:

• Tally — the forms that collect your email, upload, and intake answers.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Netlify — website hosting.
• An email provider — to send your report and any updates.

These providers act on our behalf and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data, ever.
• We don't sell leads to contractors or share your bid, your identity, or your contact details with any contractor or vendor.
• We don't take referral fees or steer you toward anyone. Our only job is your side of the table.
• We don't publish your bid or identify you in any example or write-up without asking your permission first.

How long we keep it

We keep your report and the information behind it for as long as needed to provide the service and support you afterward. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — just email hello@secondeye.co and we'll take care of it.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time. Email hello@secondeye.co for any of these.

Children

SecondEye is a business service and is not directed to anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
